Spreading Help & Hope Throughout Central Virginia

Explaining The
Importance of Donations

Here your kindness is amplified. Five dollars helps provide 20 nutritious meals—thanks to hundreds of relationships with local food and grocery partners. Three hours of volunteering cooks up mountains of baked chicken, piles of potatoes, a gazillion greens and hundreds of yummy meals for homebound and senior neighbors. And a few hours in the warehouse helps deliver thousands of BackPacks to our youngest neighbors. Here your generosity makes a big difference across Central Virginia.

Volunteering at a food pantry is one of the most direct ways to fight hunger close to home. For Jean and her husband Kenneth, it’s rooted in a simple belief: when you have something to give, you share it. For the past three years, the pair have been a steady presence at Project Care-For food pantry in Clarksville, volunteering alongside members of their church.
