RICHMOND, Va. – Feed More is marking 24 years of Richmond Restaurant Week, returning October 20–26. Diners can enjoy a three-course meal at one of the city’s best locally owned restaurants, all while helping nourish Central Virginia neighbors in need.
Since 2001, this twice-annual celebration of our local restaurant community has showcased the region’s vibrant culinary scene and enduring community impact. Each participating restaurant offers a prix-fixe menu for $35.25 with $5.25 from every meal donated to Feed More, supporting important hunger-fighting programs like our Meals on Wheels, Mobile Pantries, Kids Cafes and more.
And during these uncertain times, community initiatives like this are more needed than ever. Events like Richmond Restaurant Week play a vital role in helping Feed More meet the growing need for food assistance across Central Virginia, where 1 in 9 neighbors face hunger, including 1 in 6 children who don’t have enough to eat. Through our network of distribution partners spanning 29 counties and 5 cities, Feed More works to meet this growing need and ensure our neighbors have access to healthy food for nourishing meals.
In fact, since its inception, Richmond Restaurant Week has raised more than $1.3 million in support of our hunger-fighting mission. That equates to more than 5 million meals that we’ve been able to provide to children, families and seniors right here in Central Virginia!
Whether revisiting your favorite spot or discovering something new, every meal makes a big difference in the lives of those we serve. We’re so grateful for our partners in the restaurant community, and all the generous supporters, who have stepped up for our neighbors in need.
