March for Meals

March is a very special time for our Meals on Wheels program. During the month-long celebration that is March for Meals, we will come together as a community to support the thousands of seniors struggling with hunger and isolation in our community.

Since 2002, Meals on Wheels America has led the annual awareness campaign in an effort to fill the gap between the seniors served and those in need that is widening due to increased demand with a rapidly aging population combined with declining public and private resources, and rising food, transportation and operational costs.

There are many ways to get involved in March for Meals to help ensure our homebound seniors live a more healthy, happy and independent life at home, where they want to be.

Become a volunteer for our Meals on Wheels program!  From preparing cooked-from-scratch meals in our Community Kitchen to hand delivering the diet-specific meals to our recipient’s door, there are many ways you can positively impact our region’s seniors.  To learn more about volunteering with our Meals on Wheels program, please visit our volunteer page.

Or contribute what you can!  Every little bit donated helps us provide seniors with the nourishment they need to be taken care of in mind, body and spirit.

And don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to join the #MarchforMeals conversation throughout the month!

Scouting for Food' is more than a food drive. It's an opportunity for neighbors to make a life-changing impact on children, families and seniors who struggle with hunger.
