Feed More collects, prepares and distributes food to neighbors in need. With a service area that stretches across 34 cities and counties, our comprehensive programs and Agency Network are dedicated to providing our communities with access to quality food and healthy meals year round.

What We're Looking For

We’re in search of an enthusiastic, mission-driven, and hard-working individual to join our Volunteer Services team this Summer! This individual should demonstrate critical thinking, flexibility and a team mentality.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time
  • Monday through Friday

Work Location: In person

The Summer Internship Program will run from May 26 to August 7, 2026.

What You'll Do

  • Execute broad-based recruitment strategies to identify and attract volunteers.
  • Screen, refer and assist with placement of prospective volunteers to effectively support goals and ensure placement of sufficient numbers of volunteers to meet operational needs.
  • Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to volunteers.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Must Have

The right candidate for this job will be excited to learn about the food banking industry and seek to further expand their volunteer leadership knowledge. Ideally, this candidate will be flexible, resourceful, and proactive with strong interpersonal and customer skills.

Candidates should be or have:

  • Ability to work on a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Availability to work weekends and evenings.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple and continuously evolving priorities effectively.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of group dynamics, customer maintenance techniques, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred.
  • GPA of 3.0+ preferred
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills.
  • A confident self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and working within a team environment.
  • Capable of learning quickly, adapting to change and working in an objective driven environment.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with all business partners.
  • Proven leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to evaluate pros and cons of alternative solutions and effectively translate to broad audiences.
  • Strong time and project management skills that enable on-time project delivery in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional and positive demeanor.
