What We're Looking For
A Chief Administrative Officer that can recommend, plan, coordinate, and direct specific activities that will maximize the strategic use of all available human resources, volunteer resources, and technology resources. Responsible for creating an excellent employee and volunteer experience and making Feed More a great place to work and volunteer. Implement and maintain various HR programs and functions such as: Recruiting and Selection, Training and Development, Performance Management, Compensation, Benefits, Policy & Procedures, Payroll, and Regulatory Compliance. Directs activities of the Volunteer Department, ensuring 250 volunteers (daily) are on site. Manages the contract with our managed service provider for technology services and ensures business continuity for IT, telephone services, and the ongoing relationship with the technology team at Feeding America. Support the organization with other administrative support needs, such as maintaining the building’s WELL certification process, organization planning & design, and all internal communications and volunteer communications. Serve as a member of the FeedMore Leadership Team and the Executive Leadership Team.

Budgetary Responsibilities
Development and management of the budgets for the Human Resources department, IT, and Volunteer Services.
What You'll Do
- Management of the Recruiting and Selection Process of all employees, Compensation, Training & Development, Performance Evaluation Management, Benefits, and Payroll functions.
- Provide assistance and counsel to all employees, as needed, regarding Human Resource issues.
- Advise and counsel the CEO and Leadership Team on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity, harassment, diversity, etc., and make recommendations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to Human Resources.
- Handle all communications with local, state, and federal government agencies relating to Human Resources issues, i.e. EEOC charges, unemployment claims, ADA inquiries, etc.
- Make recommendations to the CEO and Leadership Team regarding the implementation of new programs directed toward improving employee performance, morale, and wellness.
- Direct the work of the Volunteer Department.
- Direct the work of the MOW Field Operations staff.
- Assist in the allocation of human resources to ensure the best possible utilization of manpower.
- Analyze, identify, and address employee development needs/issues.
- Ensure the availability of volunteers and manage their experience, including recruitment, retention, recognition, and actual on-site activity.
- Ensure adherence to Service Enterprise Standards.
- Serve as an ambassador for Feed More, Inc., to promote all its programs and services at various community events.
- Compile statistical analysis on performance, compensation, turnover, and benefits utilization, etc.
- Oversee the IT function, ensuring that the IT strategy is aligned with the overall business strategy
- Negotiate and determine the managed service agreement with the selected vendor on an annual basis.
- Partner with internal constituents to develop an IT budget
- Oversee external vendor relations, including Feeding America, to ensure service levels are maintained and that technology disaster recovery plans and security plans are in place and up-to-date
- Recognize and identify areas where existing policies and procedures require change and/or where new policies/procedures should be developed, especially relative to growth and new initiatives, and make changes to the employee handbook annually.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or other related field and 8-10 years of proven work experience or a combination of education and experience that will provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Excellent leadership development and strategic planning skills
- Highly motivated with strong interpersonal and good time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good listening skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and personalities
- Must be comfortable speaking in front of a group.
- Proficiency in MS Office: i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Hands-on knowledge and practical experience in the area of Employment Law
- Knowledge and working experience in the area of Health & Welfare Benefits
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and recordkeeping
- Active listener with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet crises calmly, solve problems, and show attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision, demonstrate initiative and flexibility, and work in a team environment
- Knowledge of the community and its resources
Ideally, Will Have
- 8-10 years of working experience in the Human Resources field
- 8-10 years leading additional administrative functions
- PHR Certification (SHRM)
