Food Lion Feeds Donates Meals to Jump-start the Annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Grocer Will Also Host Food Drive at Every Store This Week for Customers to Donate

What: Food Lion Feeds will partner with FeedMore and the National Association of Letter Carriers to help jump-start the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive by donating nearly 23,000 meals in celebration of the start of the campaign.

The donation is intended to help FeedMore and the National Association of Letter Carriers inspire regional residents to donate to the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive this Saturday, May 12. To participate, residents have to simply fill bags with nonperishable food donations and leave the food near their mailbox by 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 12 for the carriers to collect.

Additionally, every Food Lion store will have a specially-marked basket the entrance for each store where customers can drop off items purchased in the store and Food Lion will donate them to the local hunger-relief agency.
