Feed Richmond is back and it’s bigger than ever! Summit Media has teamed up with Kroger, Feed More and the Boy Scouts of America Heart of Virginia Council to fight hunger right here in our community.
They have set a goal of collecting 200,000 meals and here’s how you can help Feed Richmond:
On Saturday, November 16, more than 230,000 bags will be hand-delivered by Boy Scouts from the Heart of Virginia Council to homes throughout our community for the annual Scouting for Food campaign! Households are encouraged to fill the bags with nonperishable donations and the Boy Scouts will pick up the bags on Saturday, November 23. The bags can also be dropped off at any Kroger store.
Through the end of the year, customers can choose to round up to the nearest dollar when checking out at Kroger.
For $7.99, Kroger shoppers can provide as many as 10 meals for a household in need. Each box is filled with in-demand, non-perishable items identified by Feed More. The boxes are located beyond the checkout area and customers should request to purchase a box when at the register.
Customers also can drop their extra change in the coin boxes at Kroger registers.
Together we can beat hunger in Central Virginia!
