Hunger Action Month is the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks’ awareness campaign designed to mobilize the public to take action on the issue of hunger.
In our region alone, more than 193,000 of our neighbors do not know when or from where they will receive their next meal, and there are 40 million people in America who face hunger. That is a big number, but together, can end hunger one helping, or one action, at a time.
Throughout the month of September, the Feeding America network is asking everyone to take action during Hunger Action Month. Whether it is a donation, a volunteer shift, a social media post or following along throughout the month with our 30 Ways in 30 Days calendar, we all have the power to help end hunger one helping at a time.
Every action counts, so please visit HungerActionMonth.org to learn how you can get started.
