Little Hunger Helpers

Although our facility cannot accommodate volunteers younger than age 11, some of our youngest helpers can still make a difference in feeding others. Children can conduct a food drive, host a party with a purpose, or harvest home-based gardens to provide fresh produce for their neighbors. Hunger Helpers may also tap their artistic side by making “comfort bags” for Meals on Wheels clients or making birthday and holiday cards for clients. By partnering with FeedMore, children learn that creative activities and helpful actions go hand-in-hand with fun and fulfillment.

You, your friends, church group, or office mates can help! To get started with any of these volunteer opportunities, complete our online form here.

Many of the kids are able to try a variety of foods that they otherwise may have not had the opportunity to try. Parents have commented on the kids who have come home and stated that they tried a new food and that they enjoyed it.
