This year Kroger, Feed More, the Boy Scouts of America Heart of Virginia Council and Summit Media are teaming up and taking over Richmond to help us feed more this November!
Feed Richmond is expanding their efforts with more ways to give than ever:
- Kroger shoppers will be able to purchase a Hungry Box at checkout that is full of Feed More’s most needed items.
- Round-up your purchases at checkout or donate extra coins, with proceeds going to our hunger fighting efforts.
- Our friends over at Summit Media will be back Thursday, November 21 – Saturday, November 23 with live broadcasts at three Kroger’s across the Richmond area. They will be accepting nonperishable food donations and financial gifts throughout each day. Radio hosts from Play 103.7 , Classic Rock 96.5 and K95 will all be in attendance!
For more than 30 years the Boy Scouts of America Heart of Virginia Council have held their annual Scouting for Food drive. This year they will be participating as part of Feed Richmond! Thousands of brown paper bags, courtesy of Kroger, will once again be distributed by your local Boy Scout chapters to households across the region on Saturday, November 16. Families can fill their bags with nonperishable donations and leave them on their doorstep on Saturday, November 23 for their local Boy Scouts to pick up.
With a goal of 200,000 meals this year promises to be a huge success and we are incredibly thankful for the outpouring of community support!
