This month at Feed More: January 2020
Happy 2020! We hope you’re ready to kickoff this new year, and decade, feeling refreshed and excited for the year ahead. If you’re looking for something fun to do during these post-holiday winter months, join us at one of the many community events benefiting Feed More!
If you and you’re family are interested in getting more directly involved at Feed More, we have two special volunteer evening sorting sessions coming up on Monday, January 6 and Thursday, January 9! For more information and to register and secure your volunteer spot today, please visit FeedMore.org/GiveBack!
It’s not too late! Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is still hosting Dominion Energy Gardenfest of Lights through January 6. Bring your canned food or nonperishable food donation along to help support Feed More.
Don’t miss the VCU Kroger food drive on Saturday, January 11! We’ll be at the Siegel Center for the men’s basketball game against Rhode Island collecting canned and nonperishable food donations that will help serve our many programs and neighbors in need. Check out our most needed items list for some inspiration on what to donate.
Looking for fabric or some luxurious throw pillows? Spoonflower will be donating a portion of their sales on Tuesday, January 14 to Feed More. Go check them out!
If you’re not able to make it out to an event this month but are still interested in helping, please visit our Other Ways to Give page or consider becoming a Community Champion by hosting an online fundraiser!
You can also organize a food drive and collect some of our most needed items to help our neighbors in need. Head on over to our Food Drive page to learn more and check out our toolkit that will help you spread the word!
Be sure to continue looking at Feed More’s events page for updates and added events each month!
Hunger is a year round issue and with your support, we’re able to provide families in need with a hand up all year long.
