Employee spotlight: Lindsey Noble

Name: Lindsey Noble

What do you do here at Feed More? I work in the Finance Department as an Accountant, and I am a member of an internal group that plans and organizes fun events for our staff.  Most recently, I took on the role as the BizBowl Captain, a field day event where different companies from throughout Richmond competed against each other!

How long have you worked at Feed More? I started in March 2017.

What is your favorite memory at Feed More? Last October the Finance Team had a teambuilding event at the Escape Room. We worked together and escaped within a minute of the time limit!

What inspired you to come work at Feed More?  I wanted to be in an atmosphere where my work fulfilled me. I also wanted to work for an organization that the mission and financials are focused on distribution of resources.

Before working at Feed More, what was the most unusual or interesting job you had?  I worked in public accounting after college, and the Staff Accountants are tasked with inventory counts.  I once had to count blood bags for Virginia Blood Services in a freezer wearing a parka at midnight. Another fun inventory count was a jeweler in Midlothian with a large amount of gold flakes on hand.

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?  I was an athletic training major for one semester in college, I really thought I wanted to wrap people’s ankles for the rest of my life.

Where is the coolest place you have traveled to and/or want to travel to?  My parents love skiing, we have traveled to Switzerland.  I would like to travel to Canada, I have never been and have heard great things.

What is your favorite thing to do in Richmond?  I love to ride my bike around the city and go hiking. I also enjoy trying new offerings at the breweries around town.

If you could eat just one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?  A Croque-Madame from a street vendor in Paris (which is a ham and Gruyere sandwich topped with béchamel and an egg) and/or my father’s chuck roast with a side of corn, rice and gravy.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?   Super-human strength.  I would use it to help people, fight villains and move things.
