At nearly 6,000 square feet, the Pauley Family Cooler has nearly doubled our refrigerated storage space and is equipped with two different temperature zones to help ensure refrigerated items are cooled to the proper temperature.
With the support of our Agency Network, we’re able to provide our Central Virginia neighbors with a hand up in their times of need.
During the government shutdown, calls to our Hunger Hotline from individuals who need emergency food assistance doubled. With more than 17,000 federal workers in the greater Richmond area, we knew that far too many of our neighbors needed a helping hand, but might not be sure how or where to get it.
With one in six kids struggling with hunger in Central Virginia, the need is great and through our programs, we work hard to make sure we’re meeting it all year long.
We are Feed More and we believe that thriving communities start with full plates.

Since the spring, Feed More has been working on a very special project to help better serve our neighbors in need. We are pleased to share that construction is complete and the new Pauley Family Cooler is in full service!
Smithfield Foods, Inc. and Feed More, a hunger-relief organization serving 34 cities and counties in Central Virginia, unveiled a new refrigerated tractor-trailer to support the organization’s efforts to improve product distribution to the eight-localities in the southern region of their service area, where almost 25,000 individuals are food insecure.
Thanks to our BackPack program, weekends are worry free for our region’s kids!
