The Mobile Market Bus Driver will be responsible for transporting products, and maintaining order and efficiency at each distribution site.

**JOB WILL BE 2 TO 3 EVENINGS PER WEEK FROM 1:30PM UP TO 7:30PM (5 TO 6 HOURS PER DAY). JOB STARTS MID-APRIL THROUGH END OF SCHOOL YEAR (MAY/JUNE)**
***HOURS MAY EXPAND BASED ON THE DEMAND FOR THE MARKET***
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for being a representative of the Food Bank’s mission and facilitating Mobile Market Food Pantry distributions in a respectful, non-judgmental manner.
- Responsible for daily sanitation of bus and food distribution tables. Keeps bus clean and neat. Completes required paperwork such as daily mileage logs, trip logs, fuel logs, temperature logs and safety check
- Maintains quality control of product before distribution to general public. Follows appropriate procedures for food distribution, including all health and safety regulations for food handling
Must have:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Current Va. Driver’s license and good driving record
- Must have a school bus endorsement on their driver’s license (NOTE: this endorsement requires passing a school bus knowledge and skills test) or CDL.
- Be able to successfully pass a background check and drug test
- Must work well with school age children
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, flexibility
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and personalities
- Ability to meet crises calmly, show attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision, ability to work in a team environment
- Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ideally, will have:
- Strong customer service expertise
- Food safety experience
- Knowledge of food bank programs and the mission of food banks
- Familiar with the greater Richmond-Petersburg metro area
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
