Thank you to everyone who came out to support this year’s Broad Appétit! Broad Street was alive on Sunday, June 2 with food, music and art and we are so thankful that Feed More is the beneficiary of this annual event. With more than 60 of Richmond’s restaurants, eateries and catering companies in attendance, along with great music as you cruised down Broad Street from one of the many bands playing on stage, we couldn’t have asked for a better day!
We want to send a special shout out to Feed More’s staff and the 140 volunteers who hustled behind the scenes to get this event off the ground. From helping to set everything up early in the morning to guiding attendees during the event to staffing all of the beer and wine trucks, events like this aren’t possible without your help!
Last year, Broad Appétit brought in over 60,000 meals to Feed More, which is an incredible contribution! Those meals have been distributed throughout the 34 counties and cities in our service area in Central Virginia, helping feed families in need. Projections for this year are looking even better, with an estimated 80,000 meals coming to Feed More! Please stay tuned for the final results.
