Kroger Mid-Atlantic presented 15 members of Feed More’s Agency Network with grants to obtain critically needed resources that will strengthen programming and expand outreach to people struggling with hunger throughout Central Virginia.
Created to ensure that kids and teens continue to receive meals during the summer when school is not in session, Feed More’s Summer Food Service Program provides well-balanced meals each weekday to children and teens,18 years and younger, free of charge.
Feed More will host its annual fundraising gala, Zest Fest, on Friday, May 3 at Main Street Station in downtown Richmond. This year’s Zest Fest provides guests with an opportunity to gather with Feed More for a meaningful night out!
Feed More, Walmart, Sam’s Club and Feeding America Launch “Fight Hunger. Spark Change.” Campaign to Combat Hunger in Central Virginia
In partnership with Feed More, Walmart and Sam’s Club now invite Central Virginia shoppers to help fight hunger in their local communities. There are three ways to participate – purchasing a participating item in-store or online, donating in-store or donating on Feeding America’s website.

Federation of Virginia Food Banks Awarded $1 Million Grant from Sentara Healthcare and Optima Health
Sentara Healthcare and Optima Health announced that the Federation of Virginia Food Banks is one of four nonprofit organizations to receive grants from a pool of $5.5 million to support needs stemming from Medicaid expansion, and address social determinants affecting the health and well-being of low-income Virginians.
Feed More to Hold Pop-Up Food Distribution for Neighbors Impacted by the Partial Government Shutdown
Feed More will hold a special food distribution from 2 – 4 p.m. on Friday, January 18 for those impacted by the partial government shutdown. The Pop-Up Distribution will take place on Feed More’s campus, in the parking lot of Building II at 1601 Rhoadmiller Street.
Perdue Foods Donates 2,500 Chicken Roasters to Feed More for Special Holiday Mobile Pantry Distributions
The holidays will be extra special for Central Virginia neighbors in need thanks to a generous donation of 2,500 chicken roasters from Perdue Foods!
With the support of a generous grant from the Richmond Christmas Mother Fund, Feed More will provide all the fixings for a special meal to around 2,000 families this holiday season.
