Alumni Charity Challenge helps feed more!

09/25/2018

The 2018 Alumni Charity Challenge had another year of tremendous success!

This nonperishable food drive was started by the VCU Alumni Richmond Chapter in 2013 with the goal of raising awareness of hunger, educate the Richmond community and collecting canned goods for Feed More.

One night per year, participating alumni chapters fill the parking lot of Richmond’s Hardywood Craft Park Brewery and compete to gather the highest number of pounds via canned food and/or funds.

The Alumni Charity Challenge has grown into a competition between more than 30 colleges and universities nationwide and just this year expanded its online fundraising efforts, allowing school teams to activate their own social networks to raise money on behalf of Feed More.

We are excited to share that this year raised 107,696 pounds, breaking the 100,000-pound mark for the very first time!

Our thanks to all of the participants for making this year the best one yet.

Please check out the full list of winners below and many thanks to everyone who came out in a BIG way to help us feed more!
