Together, we feed more.
Continuous improvement is something very important to us here at FeedMore. We are dedicated to strengthening and streamlining our operations to make them more effective and efficient, while helping our neighbors who struggle with hunger. We have a dedicated team of managers at Feed More who are responsible for the regions we serve throughout Central Virginia.
FeedMore’s Regional Managers are focused on deepening our knowledge of the communities we help and the agencies who enable us carry out our mission. Our Regional Managers also provide us with valuable insight on our recipients and how they have been impacted by hunger.
Each of our agencies has access to our inventory, educational programs, technical assistance, other relevant materials and so much more. To help our agencies grow and better serve their communities, we’re happy to offer programs such as:
Direct Store Pickup Program
This program enables FeedMore Agencies to pick up donations of perishable and nonperishable products from stores in their community. In addition to saving valuable time and money, our Direct Store Pickup program allows our retail partners to directly impact the communities they serve and fight food waste. Agencies commit to pick up these donations on a regular assigned schedule and report pounds received weekly.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
TEFAP is a USDA program that provides food to agencies free of charge to distribute to income-eligible clients on a monthly basis. Food that is distributed through TEFAP includes canned fruits and vegetables, dry beans, rice, pasta and other grains, and occasional meat and dairy. Please note, additional reporting and monitoring are required.
Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)
Focused on low-income individuals who are at risk of malnutrition, this USDA program distributes nutritious food to seniors on a monthly basis to supplement their diet by helping stretch their food dollars. CSFP participation is free for agencies, requires verification of the client’s income and identify and also requires additional reporting and monitoring.
